Worldwide Fitness Products is an American Manufacturing Company that is owned and operated by husband and wife team Tim and Stacy Newman. Having raised 3 children, the business has remained a family affair, with all their children pitching in from time ot time.
Their high-quality products are produced at their manufacturing plant in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Tim started manufacturing Sports Speed Training Equipment in 1990 after graduating from college, where he was a standout football player. He developed the majority of the company’s sports performance products while training athletes at all levels, from youth to professional athletes, and was the original product developer to cover Speed Training and Resistance Bands with what is known as "Safety Sleeve Technology". The fabric sheath covers the latex tube to protect the tubing, with its main function to protect the user if the Band were to snap. The Safety Sleeve contains the latex tubing inside a fabric sleeve, keeping it from smacking the user. The company was issued a US Patent in 2019 for their connection method of the latex tubing and safety sleeve. They are the only company to have had their Resistance Bands independently laboratory tested. The test resulted in bands lasting well beyond 150,000 pulls. They offer products for all levels of Fitness, CrossFit, Rehabilitation, and Sports Performance Training of Speed.
The company brands its products under two different brand names: FitCords are the family of resistance bands, and Speedster is the sports performance line of products. The company sources the vast majority of its components from other US companies. In 2025, the company was granted GSA approval.
