The Constant Push Against the Systematic Erosion of Free Speech 

Free speech continues to be under attack despite some progress being made. Maximum respect to Elon Musk for his contribution to the cause by purchasing Twitter (now X) and allowing for truth to be shared instead of being obliterated by evil algorithms. Of course, nothing is perfect and there may still be a few bugs remaining from previous unethical programmers; however, X remains to be the most open platform in terms of sharing the truth and allowing dissenting voices that are not in lockstep with the current administration. We salute you, Mr. Musk! But, there are still forces working against our First Amendment, like GARM.

What is GARM?

GARM, the Global Alliance for Responsible Media, is an industry-led initiative founded in 2019 by the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA). It aims to improve the safety and sustainability of digital advertising, reduce harmful content online, and promote integrity and accountability in the digital media ecosystem. Sounds like a noble cause, right? Who doesn’t want to reduce harmful online content? So, are they committed to removing porn and violence? Well, not exactly.

Let’s dive in a little deeper. A big red flag went up when we discovered who was behind GARM—none other than that creepy organization led by Dr. Evil wannabe, Klaus Schwabb. That’s right, the same group that promises “you will own nothing and be happy” and “you will eat ze bugs” are behind this little consortium of advertisers who are genuinely concerned for your online safety.  Back in 2020, they stated that their goal is to accelerate and advance the role that advertisers can play in collectively pushing to improve the safety of online environments. They believe this alliance drives uncommon collaboration to improve the safety, trustworthiness, and sustainability of media. As the real Dr. Evil would say…



What are the Benefits to Brand Members?

According to their website,

Individual members use GARM’s resources and information about best practices to learn where their advertising investments go, and to avoid placement next to illegal or harmful content that could damage their brands’ reputation. GARM offers voluntary frameworks to help brands choose the content they want their ads to appear next to.

Suggestions that GARM practices may impinge on free speech are a deliberate misrepresentation of GARM’s work. GARM is not a watchdog or lobby. GARM does not participate in or advocate for boycotts of any kind.

It sure sounds like they’re using pre-emptive CYA tactics to ensure us all that what they are doing is in no way harmful to free speech, or political in any way.

Their members include some of the biggest global brands in the world. There are actually over 55 brands on board, from Procter & Gamble to Unilever to Samsung and Adidas. This is a very powerful alliance.

So, how is GARM a threat to Free Speech?

The old “we’re doing this for your own safety from mis- and disinformation” propaganda! The letter Jim Jordan sent was to the CEO of Adidas (Mr. Bjorn Gulden), warning him that the Committee on the Judiciary is conducting oversight into the adequacy and enforcement of U.S. antitrust laws. He goes on to explain that the Committee has learned that collusive activity is occurring—in particular, evidence of coordinated action by GARM and its member companies, including boycotts of disfavored social media platforms, podcasts and news outlets. They are requesting that the Adidas Group preserve documents and provide information.

The letter then gets very specific, asking if the Adidas Group was aware of the coordinated actions taken by GARM toward news outlets that include The Joe Rogan Experience, The Daily Wire, Breitbart News, Fox News or other conservative media. The Committee has reason to believe that the Adidas Group may be in possession of documents and communications related to GARM’s collusive activity. They have requested responses to all of their requests by no later than August 15, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. You can read the entire letter here.

Is GARM Just Another Tactic for the Globalists to Quash our Freedom?

Chances are if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck. Guess we’ll have to wait a few weeks on this one to see what Adidas comes back with. However, just knowing that the WEF founded this group should give anyone who is awake reason to be skeptical.
