Griner Traded For 'Merchant Of Death'

Britney Griner, the WNBA player who decided to bring an illegal substance into Russia and subsequently arrested, convicted and sent to a Russian prison, has been traded back to the U.S. in exchange for one of the world's most dangerous men.

There is no doubt the move was purely a political decision by the Biden Administration. 

Griner, a prominent public figure who stood against the national anthem told the media in 2020, "I honestly feel we should not play the national anthem during our season. I think we should take that much of a stand."

We showed no sympathy when she was initially detained in Russia a year later. Griner was arrested and charged for bringing in vape cartridges containing cannabis oils. The contraband led to a 9 year sentence. 

It was no surprise that the Biden Administration negotiated her release as it is purely a political stunt. Griner is an open lesbian who is married to another female. It is safe to say that Biden's mission to negotiate a trade was just another sad attempt to continue to bow down to the progressive 'woke' agenda. And their decision to cave to the 'woke' crowd is an expensive one. 

It cost America the release of a very dangerous Russian arms dealer, Viktor Bout- aka the 'Merchant of Death'. Reports suggested that Bout was responsible for weapon sales that fueled armed conflicts all over the world. 

Bout was in negotiations with who he thought were representatives from Colombian revolutionary forces, but were really DEA agents. Authorities say Bout was prepared to deliver $20 million in missiles, rifles and explosives- but thankfully was busted. 

Another disgraceful piece to this issue is that a Marine, Paul Whelan is still in Russian custody under bogus espionage charges. Even the state department has acknowledged that they believe the charges are baseless.

Yet the Biden administration has failed to secure the Marine's release. It's clear that there was more political gain with Griner- just to appease the 'woke' community.
